Description
Sodium formate is the sodium salt of formic acid. As a solid, it forms colorless, deliquescent, bitter-salty-tasting crystals that are soluble in water.
Uses for sodium formate are typically found in the field of deicing, but also the drilling industry and in the production of oxalic acid, i.e. sodium oxalate.
It is also mentioned as a food additive (E237), as well as in the leather, textile and printing industry.
Packaging
In bags of 25 kg, on 1,125 kg pallets or in big bags of 1,000 kg / 1200 kg each.
Storage
Sodium Formats is hygroscopic and should be stored dry and protected from moisture absorption.
It tends to cake with time.
