Description


Barium acetate is a bright, crystalline powder with a slight smell of vinegar. It is readily soluble in water.

Barium acetate is an oxidizing agent used by our customers as a pickling agent for printing textiles and as a component in paints and varnishes.

In addition, barium acetate is used by our customers in pyrotechnics to give a green color to fireworks, is used as a component of the airbag and exhaust gas purification, as a catalyst in organic reactions.

Storage


 

Keep in tightly closed containers at a dry place  protected from sunlight.  Avoide high temperatures and strong oxidizing agents.
